Ramona Martinez Perez was born on December 15th, 1950, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to parents Ramon Martinez Cabrera and Ana Lucía Vásquez.  
 
Ramona moved to the United States in the late 70s and resided in Washington Heights New York until the family moved to Lawrence, MA in 1988, where she became a daycare provider. Driven by her faith and love of community, Ramona dug her roots into the ground and became to many, a beacon of strength, love, and hope. For many of the children and families in her care, Ramona became a mother to them all. Her smile and spirit would light up any room and she always tried to live life to the fullest, dancing, laughing, traveling, and making as many memories as she can.  
As a devout Catholic and active member of the Saint Mary’s church, Ramona was always looking for ways to give back to her community, volunteering to help feed the less fortunate, donating not only her time but her wisdom and kind words.  
 
She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and laughter. Survived by her four sons: Edwin, Starsky, Angel and Wilson Perez; 8 grandchildren Jaedlyn, Justin, Monica, Zyanna, Cristayshalee, Waren, Phoenix and Korrah as well as a host of family and friends.  
  
Ramona asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St Mary the Assumption Parish of Lawrence, MA. 
 
 
Ramona Martínez Pérez nació el 15 de diciembre del 1950 en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana de padres Ramón Martínez Cabrera y Ana Lucía Vásquez.  Ramona se mudó a los Estados Unidos a finales de los años 70 y residió en Washington Heights, Nueva York, hasta que la familia se mudó a Lawrence, MA en 1988, donde se convirtió en proveedora de cuidado de niños. Impulsada por su fe y amor a la comunidad, Ramona echó raíces en la tierra y se convirtió para muchos en un faro de fuerza, amor y esperanza. Para los niños y familias bajo su cuidado, Ramona se convirtió en una madre para todos. Su sonrisa y espíritu iluminarían cualquier habitación y siempre trató de vivir la vida al máximo, bailando, riendo, viajando y creando tantos recuerdos como podía.   Como católica devota y miembro activo de la iglesia de Santa María, Ramona siempre buscaba formas de retribuir a su comunidad, ofreciéndose como voluntaria para ayudar a alimentar a los menos afortunados, donando no solo su tiempo sino también su sabiduría y sus amables palabras.  Ella deja un legado de fe, amor y luz. Le sobreviven sus cuatro hijos: Edwin, Starsky, Ángel y Wilson Pérez; 8 nietos Jaedlyn, Justin, Monica, Zyanna, Cristayshalee, Waren, Phoenix y Korrah, así como una gran cantidad de familia y amigos. Ramona pide que, en lugar de flores, se hagan donaciones a la Parroquia St Mary the Assumption de Lawrence, MA.
